This is not a typical site and is definitely worth seeing.

There are many more things to see in Klatovy than just the crypts with mummies. Other tours allow you to recognize other interesting places in the historical center of Klatovy.

The Catacombs

Tour I.

Unique crypts under the Jesuit Church with mummies of Jesuits and their supporters. The museum part of the exhibition is dedicated to the activities of the Society of Jesus and shows the lives of people in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Jesuit Church

Tour II.

A tour of the sacristy and the interior of the Baroque church from the 17th century, under which the Klatovy Catacombs are located. The church is known for its rich interior furnishings and illusive paintings.

Jesuit College

Tour III.

The exposition shows the inhabitants of the Jesuit College from the 17th century to the present. The Jesuits, dragoons and soldiers of the ČSLA lived here.

Archdeacon Church

Tour IV.

A tour of the interior of the church with a miraculous painting of the Virgin Mary of Klatovy. You will also visit the crypts under the church and enter the gallery.

PASK

Glass Pavilion in Klatovy

More than 800 glass artifacts can be found here, coming from the most well-known period of the glass company from the 1880s to the 1920s. The permanent exhibition is complemented by current exhibitions.

Visitors can get a discount by getting a combined admission to both the Catacombs and PASK.

Black Tower

The five-story tower was built between 1547 and 1555. A tower keeper lived in the tower, who guarded the city and reported fires or the arrival of enemies. There are 226 stairs leading to the tower gallery, which is 81 m high. The Vondra bell was made in 1759. A massive clock machine controls the four faces of the tower clock.
